Fan Veil

Up About Belly Dancing Belly Dance Stuff How To Pay Fan Veil

Fan veils are a fantastic and relatively new direction in belly dancing and we at Belly Dance Wiltshire are pleased to announce our new classes, and shop, catering for silk fan veil enthusiasts.

The fan veil opens up exciting possibilities for creative dancers to expand their repertoire both in tribal and more traditional belly dance styles. At Belly Dance Wiltshire we’ve created a whole range of new classes and workshops to help our students get the most from these versatile and beautiful props. All the new classes and workshops are being slotted in to our usual timetables so you won’t need to find extra days in your busy schedules to take part in them. I’ll be announcing at classes start dates, levels etc. and instigating a booking scheme to ensure nobody misses out but we have enough space in the ballroom for all participants – plus veils.

We know that fan veils, using high quality silk are a little hard to find so Sharon and I are arranging to sell fan veils in the very near future through ebay and lodge film footage on YouTube with links to both from this page.

Keep coming back to see our updates.

Our fan veils are 1.5 meters in length and bi-coloured to give maximum impact. The only material we accept is pure silk and the edges are unfinished as this ensures they move and float the way you’d want. As teachers offering some advise we’d suggest you regard fan veils in the same way that you would a veil and learn with a single fan veil. Those who then want to specialise and make life even more complicated might like to try working with two fans. Just like dancing a double veil set, dancing with two fan veils is complicated… as if you couldn’t work that out for yourselves.

Fan Veil classes start in Swindon in April / May.
