We know that many of you will
bump into our teachers and DJ's at various events but for those new to the scene here is
our rogues gallery.

Our founder Karen, 'La Diablita', is a qualified
(teaching dip. UKA) and experienced tutor in merengue, salsa, Rueda etc., as well as
being a much respected DJ. Her love of merengue has led to her being dubbed 'the merengue
queen' by DJ Christian Marshal for whom she ran regular classes at the legendary Club
Havana in Oxford. One time owner of the shortest skirts around and still sporting more
shoes than Imelda Marcos (her recent jaunts to Spain gave rise to yet more items of
pedantry interest) she is the choreographer of the class moves as well as tutor......
besides being the only person we know who'd allow a rabbit loose in the office to eat
through telephone wires - priceless!
With the constant addition of new pupils we're adding to our regular faces at Diablito so here's where we keep a rogues gallery of those who feature in our weekly classes as teachers, DJ's, assistants and back room folk.........

An experienced teacher in Rueda, Salsa and Merengue
is Steve has been on the salsa scene for well over 10 years - and that's a LONG time in
anyones books. Steve is our male lead teacher and a great role model for new dancers as he
epitomises a mans man - you know the sort... likes rugby, does martial arts, spends a lot
of time in the boozer etc. and yet he still dances. He's the best proponent of the new
phrase 'real men can dance'!
Vicky is the latest recruit to the Diablito team. She has been
a student of ours at salsa, tango and belly dancing for over three years and is a very
welcome female addition - we seem to have a lot of guys on the team and not only is she a
very stylish dancer but a welcome addition to the ladies who guide the Little Devils dance
company. Vicky is working towards her UKA assistant teacher exam which she hopes to be
taking in the spring.
Yet another female newcomer to the Diablito crew list is Fifi
who is our mainstay at classes and events as she is the meeter-and-greeter' who welcomes
you upon arrival. A student at the local college, Fifi is your first port of call when you
need information about what's on and other essentials of life.
Currently studying
in Nottingham, our 'sometime door girl', Yolanda, joins us when she is on vacation to
ensure that our teachers and assistants can concentrate on the dance side of things.
Her own tastes in music lean towards the 'Nine Inch Nails' end of the market but we're
hoping to lure her into the Latin scene - well who can resist it after all?
